Vision Statement
We, as a local church body, are committed to praising, honoring and glorifying God through:
Worship of the triune God in a manner that is biblical, historical and contemporary, and encourages all people to accept and respond to God’s presence in their lives. Worship is a constant part of the lives of all believers, and occurs both individually and corporately, in both public and private settings. We invite an encourage everyone to participate in regular worship, Bible studies, prayer and other meetings, and will include regular invitations for those attending to accept Christ into their lives.
Ministry of the Word through the systematic and expository teaching and preaching of the whole counsel of God as set forth in His word, the Bible, and the Westminster Standards, which are based firmly on Biblical theology. We will strive to provide a place where all people are provided an equal opportunity to hear the good news of the Gospel, which answers the questions and issues of all cultures.
Ministry of Service through an active and vibrant outreach program tailored specifically to the immediate needs of the local community. As part of this ministry, we want to reach as many people and families as possible, and offer them a place where the hurting, depressed, disappointed, lonely, confused, guilty and sinful find forgiveness, love, acceptance, help, hope, guidance, encouragement, support, and salvation in Christ. We will strive to reach new people and families on a weekly basis. We also want to provide food for the hungry, and an active visitation program, with participation by all members of the church.
Evangelism of the lost through the good news of the Gospel. We desire, by God’s grace, to add at least one new family to the church every quarter through a combination of individual and corporate evangelism. Church leaders will develop appropriate plans for effective evangelism through ministry of the word and ministry of service, and each believer member will work to win their family members, friends, co-workers, acquaintances, and neighbors to Christ, and incorporate them into our church family.
Training Believers for Ministry, by helping them become healthy, confident and mature Christians, who demonstrate the truth in their lives by living in conformity with the Scriptures; and by helping all members discover, develop, and fully use their spiritual gifts and talents to strengthen the faith of others Christians, and further the Kingdom of God. Training will be accomplished through teaching and preaching, Bible studies, seminars, conferences, and a planned discipleship development process. In addition to regularly scheduled services and Bible studies, we will establish at least one home-based bible study or prayer meeting each year.
Christian Faith, based upon a thorough knowledge of the Gospel, agreement with its truth, and a genuine trust in the eternal God and His promises, as secured by the mercy of Jesus Christ, and revealed to us by the grace and work of the Holy Spirit.
Fellowship, by providing a place that welcomes all people into the fellowship of the Family of God, and where believers can develop healthy relationships with God and with one another, and learn to love one another and live in harmony. Examples of this may include, but are not limited to, periodic church dinners and events such as the “Fall Festival” scheduled October of each year.
Guarding and Strengthening the Youth, Young Adults and the Christian Family, by developing activities, which are covenental and appealing to all ages, and which provide everyone ample opportunities to learn about Christ, the Gospel, and the importance of love, mercy and justice; and by other forms of ministry to the Family of God. Examples of this include our VBS during the summer and the establishment youth groups, young adult groups and family groups.
